Special Message from Ann Rolling, Executive Director - June 2008
We're off to a fabulous start to our summer season. Please come out and bring your friends for the last weekend of The Gospel Accordin' to Texas. And don't miss the opportunity to meet Clarence Gilyard at the Community Center on Saturday. He is truly a gift to the Shakespeare students and we want to give him a warm Wimberley welcome.
So many wonderful gifts are coming our way and the EmilyAnn wants to share this wonderful bounty with you. In some ways, we're still recovering from the fire last November. Our new office should be ready soon. We'll invite you all over for a party once we're settled in.
Celebrating our 10th anniversary is amazing and is truly evidence of the many hearts and hands that have come together to build this special place. Thank you to everyone who has helped along the way.
Love, Ann

Thank you Eagle Scouts!
Did you know that the EmilyAnn is now harvesting rainwater? Have you had a chance to come play in Justin's Castle? As you walk through the grounds of the EmilyAnn Theatre, you'll see the handiwork of many community groups who contribute to making the Emily Ann a beautiful and peaceful place. We are grateful to four Eagle Scouts who are making permanent contributions on our grounds. The first project, Justin's Castle, built by John Estepp in memory of Justin Rodriguez, provides an interactive play area for children. Michael Vela recently restored an old water cistern on the property so that (if it ever rains again) we can harvest rainwater to use on our gardens. This project is in memory of Cub Scout Joe Saunders. Two more projects are underway--Samuel Holberg is building a ticket booth for the theatre entrance and Blake Dwyer is building a new renaissance stage to replace the Puppet's Post in the Glade. Members of Michael Vela's Court of Honor commented on how rare it is to have four projects in one location! Congratulations to all four scouts. We're grateful to be the recipient of their wonderful work. Come by and see!
