Shakespeare Under the Stars is a 6-week program which provides students the opportunity to learn all aspects of theatre from set, costume, and lighting design to performance. The program begins June 26th and culminates in performances of The Comedy of Errors and King Lear from July 28th – August 9th. Students should prepare 2 one-minute monologues (one dramatic and one comedy) to audition. Please download application materials here or call the theatre at 512-847-6969 for more information.
Beginning of Program - June 26th
Shakespeare begins with and Actors Workshop from June 26th-28th with guest artist Clarence Gilyard Jr. (as seen on Matlock & Walker, Texas Ranger). Demonstration will be held in the afternoon on June 28th.
On June 30th from 9:00-10:00 a.m. there will be an organizational meeting at the EmilyAnn Theatre of parents and actors.
On July 4th the cast and crew will participate on a float in the Wimberley July 4th Parade. The students will be free to go after the completion of the parade.
